To all Galactica fans! Mike (mikedx) and I have been tracking (original series) Battlestar Galactica cast, guest stars and crew for years only to get one single photo or tradingcard signed. After a while we started thinking on publisihng some of the stories they told in their reply letters. Even the smallest parts sometimes had great stories that no Galactica fan had ever heard before. About one and a half year ago, we decided to really do something with this and started interviewing these guest stars again, but now by phone. Sometimes the scheduled 10 minute interviews easily became 30-45 minutes, because most of them really enjoyed talking to us. Recently we also picked up on the New Galactica series and interviewed some of the main cast. Aaron Douglas (Chief Tyrol) also really enjoyed the questions and stayed on the phone for almost a full hour! This interview is published in our first issue. And so is the interview of Dan Bacon who works as a reader on the show. He also has some interesting stories to tell! So, check it out: www.galactica.tvA new Battlestar Galactica site about the people in front of and behind the camera of ALL Battlestar Galactica series. There will be a new online magazine published every two weeks with new interviews! As soon as we find someone that can make professional podcasts for us, we'll also start offering the interviews as audio! Enjoy!

I already registered! And read the Aron Douglas interview! Nice one! Keep going! Same here! Looks like it'll be a great site for us BSG fans! Do you think you'll be able to bring us opportunities for us autograph collectors to get photos signed? I mean be a it a private signing you guys do, or making it member exclusive content where you list an address that they do check that we can send stuff to. (Just thought I'd ask)

Thanks for the kind words guys! Like MAD said, some of these people are less well known and it thrills them that someone would take the time to write. On the autograph response they might include in a letter with the auto some tidbit about their role or about the show that no one ever heard before. We thought it would be a good idea to put all this stuff together and make it available to the fans. Then came interview requests, and for the old series, it really takes them back to some fond memories. We've got these audio recorded, and I think everybody would like the interviews much better if they can hear them. But again, we need somebody to mix it for us.
Thanks for the kind words for the Douglas interview. It was a real thrill to talk to him, and he's a really, really nice guy.
As for private signings, for the new series Iconographs is offering up the main cast. Both MAD and I have our orders in. I asked for a large photo/miniposter to be signed by 25 of the cast. They said they'd get as many as they were able.
For the old series, it's something that we have been looking into. It comes down to two things. The actor and the demand. Some actor's have gone into different things and want to be left alone. So it's difficult to arrange the signing. The other thing is demand. The more popular actors do cons, so there really isn't any need to offer a private signing. For the others, who do you want? Are there that many people that would be interested in a photo signed by say, the Borellian Nomen?

The ones I really would love are:
- Richard Hatch - Dirk Benedict - Herb Jefferson Jr. - Laurette Spang - Noah Hathaway - Terry Carter - Anne Lockhart
As you can see: Just the maincast of the original series.

Aaron Douglas is indeed a VERY nice guy. He offered me to buy a drink but I bought him and Dan a beer instead as a thank you because of I got the interviews with them. (or in Aarons case a follow up to interview with Mike)
Nicky was very sweet, but Pul Campbell was the best interview so far. That guy is F-U-N-N-Y.
Anyways have spammed other fans with the news of the website as well.

To be clear what the site is all about (or isn't about) , we made a Site Objective that we've now add. It can be read here: www.galactica.tv/content/view/105/95/Most of you know our background and where we came from so you can skip that (unless you find it interesting to read again ), but it continues to explain exactly what we do and want with the site. It also sheds some light of what we'd like to add in the future and some of our plans... This certainly will answer some of your questions asked above. Signings are an option, but are difficult. As soon as we're starting to sell goods or services through the site, we become a commercial site. Depending on how much money we make this might get us in trouble according to the copyright law. Universal will tollerate the site when it doesn't make money and stays a simple fansite. As soon as we do make money they can or may start charging us for any copyrighted images, video, audio or data on our site. Worse, since it's called Galactica.TV they can even claim the site's name! So it's not that easy... especially since I sniped the Galactica.TV domainname from Universal (I had a backorder on the name they forgot to pay... they let me keep it...). If they really want it back they only have click there fingers and 20 layers jump up and we'll lose it for sure.

Screenheroes was a great con! I got a incredible amount of sigs there.... Me too, only those didn't cost me that much. (I did pay three for Dirk and one out of three for Herb) I also paid the jackpot in Birmingham though. Got like 12-15 sigs for 20 GBP / piece, not knowing that Noah and Anne would be added at Screenheroes at that point. I think same goes for Mike. I'm not sure, but I think he decided after Noah and Anne signed up at Screenheroes (and even Laurette was still an option then) that he thought it was better to pick up his poster himself and thank Anne and Noah for signig it for 20 GBP / piece in Birmingham. ;D Or maybe it was because after he saw the pictures that we violeted mr. Tube... One or the other.
