Ok, in addition to a question asked by D. in the BSG thread. So who have you met in the past but didn't get an autograph from and you now regret it? For example: you love a certain tv series or franchise, met an actor you weren't interested in at the time so didn't get but later on appeared in that franchise? OR it might have been someone from a show you had not seen at the time but are now crazy about? Mine was Dean Stockwell. Saw him at C7 but didn't bother with the autograph since I had to watch my money and had other priorities and now he has a very cool role in BSG.........................  So any takers? |

Why: Cool one for my Friday the 13th-collection. But back then I wasn't into collecting sigs as
much as I now do. And since I was a student back then, I didn't got a lot of money.
Felix Silla
Where: Screenheroes
Why: Because of the finances. I had some money left for 1 sig (and something to eat) so I chose Gil Gerard because he was/is Buck Rogers! Later I got Harry to bring me Erin Gray from Collectormania. And again due to the finances I didn't got Harry to bring Felix Silla. So the next time he's around I'll get his sig for sure!!

I'm a huge fan of the 80's version of the Twilight Zone.
I've met some actors who were in that series:
Dean Stockwell, Marc Singer, Andrew Robinson....
Thing is: I met Marc Singer at Screenheroes....but he's in season 2 of Twilight Zone...and season 2 came out on DVD after the con! So I couldn't make a screencap
This has not only been the case with Singer, but with more actors.
I could have had some sigs....but to me it didn't matter anymore.

I regret not getting Leonard Nimoy at the last Fedcon. I felt it was too expensive at the time, but looking back I was so impressed with him I should have gotten one.

Pfff, hard to pick someone specific... Probably John Noble. The only LOTR main cast actor I saw but did not get due to him being ill and signing for only an hour or so. Other, smaller regrets: Cirroc Lofton, Burt Reynolds, Michael Ironside, John Hollis.

I don't really regret not getting a sig from someone I met. At Screen Heroes prices were higher than I had expected, so I have gotten fewer signatures than I originally planned, but I don't really regret that. Although maybe in hindsight Atonio Fargas would have been cool...

Same here. I never regret not getting a sig. I'm just really happy with the ones I DO have. I always think positive.
Of course there are some that I would like to have, such as a few Star Wars minor guests. But I don't regret not getting them.

I agree with Martine: I hope to meet Dean Stockwell again some day (on the other hand: Dean didn't even know he would be in Galactica at Collectormania, so it's not a fair comparison) I regret I let Mike write to Brock Peters first because I wasn't sure of the address. By the time he returned for Mike he was already very ill and he never replied to my 2 requests anymore. He now has passed away and is one I'll never ever getting anymore. I regret some signatures offered to me by dealers, which I then rejected but now am still searching for (like Jonathan Harris [voice of Lucifer] on a Galactica photo). I regret not going to Heerlen with Dennis to meet Britt Ekland and interview her about her part. It more or less was the one that started this collection of Galactica guest stars and Dennis got it for me (thanks bro!) I regret that Jamie Bamber was the first Galactica cast member that I met in person! |
