Do you remember your first sig? I mean in person, not TTM, via friend, etc. I mean you walked up to the guy and stuttered "Dear Mr. such and such, will you please sign this". I had to think on this one. My very first autograph was from Richard Hatch. It was May 27, 2000. I only remember that because I still have the con program. At the time, I was reflecting of my love of the series, and they posted this con in Columbus Ohio with Richard on battlestargalactica.com. So I buy a BSG poster (I started my poster thing early) and drove 4 hours. This is a small con, with 4 actors, and some other people I never heard of. So I pay, walk around, and get near Richard and think oh my God I'm in heaven. That's my hero sitting right there!!! I just stood there for about 20 minutes and took in the fact I'm in the same building as The Hatch. Well finally, I wander over and stutter something, and pull out my poster. He says cool (like he hasn't seen a million posters even then) and signs it. I tell him I'm a big fan or something, but I'm just in awe. He talks to me for a bit (I can't remember what he said) and I just wander off. Then next to him is Jack Stauffer. I ask him to sign and he says no prob. He has his burgendy jacket from the Second Coming Trailer. He signs the poster and says that will be $15. I'm like What? Honest to God I didn't know they charged for autos. And what's more, I didn't pay Richard, I guess he forgot to ask. This was around the time of the Second Coming Trailer. Richard had a huge scrapbook of ideas he had for a continuation, and he was pitching the idea to any fan that would listen, trying to get some people to help out. I then went to the dealers tables, and was amazed by all the sci-fi loot out there. I've met Richard again at Screenheroes, but I'll never forget that first convention and how in awe I was. For the auto's, look here: www.battlestargalacticaautographs.com/styled.htmlYeah, I still have the blue id tag I wore as well!

Oh nit was terrible. It was Jeremy Bulloch and I say good evening to himwhen it wasn't even noon yet. But it was an incebreaker, and we ended up having a very pleasent talk.
But years before that, when I was maybe 11 or so I got 2 autographs of 2 Dutch men who were in the Strongest Man of The Netherlands competition. And then at around 14 or so I got the artist of Suske & WIske to sign my book. I was so happy, and I still have them. He he.

I think my oldest must be Acda & de Munnik, after a concert. I'd never asked anyone's auto before, and wasn't even that interested at the time, but now am very glad I have those! The concert was cool, and we got permission from the theatre director to go backstage and chat with Acda & de Munnik. They signed my ticket.

Mine was Dave Prowse, I think in 1998. I was in London, I called him up (you can find the phone number of his gym in any phone book), he picked up the phone and I asked if I could come round and get an autograph. I could, so we jumped in the tube and went to his gym (following the directions Dave gave . When we were there he invited us to look around in the gym, after that he signed my oversize Darth Vader postcard that I picked up earlier that day at Forbidden Planet. He signed with a regular ballpoint as he didn't have a Sharpie. Most funny thing however was that Dave's good friend Lou Ferrigno was also there I didn't get his auto but we did take pictures. This was all before I even knew there were such things as conventions and having to pay for autographs... Mine was free

My first was a long, long time ago...in a city not so far away... Eric Gerets - the belgian right fullback of PSV....who had so much successes at the club Hans van Breukelen - the goalie of PSV Eindhoven (besides the legendary PSV player Jan van Beveren the best goalie ever of the Netherlands)

My first in person was Peter Mayhew almost 10 years ago at a games convention. He was there along with a couple of other actors. Luckily for me and a friend of mine who came with me most visitors of that event only came for the games so there was lots of time to talk with Peter and the others. I recall being nervous but mostly for having to talk in English, being afraid to make lots of mistakes. Anyway, the experience kinda got me hooked on talking to people in the filmbusiness for all their experiences and especially their anecdotes.

The first two autographs I ever got in person were Bassie & Adriaan on one of their records (if you're not Dutch, don't worry, you don't know them!). I went to one of their circus shows with my parents and my sister and afterwards waited for them with my father at the exit with many, many other fans. Because I was only 6 years old I could stand in front and was actually the first one to get the autographs. They kept talking to me, but I couldn't bring out one word, while afterwards, I couldn't stop talking about it for days! Probably still have the record somewhere in my parent's attic. Next ones were Dirk Benedict, Mr. T and Dwight Schulz. on the white T-shirt I was wearing. I'd won a meet and greet on Veronica radio with 24 other fans. This was like 1983 or something when they visited the Netherlands. I wore this T-shirt to school a LOT and really treasured it, until my mom accidentally threw it in the laundry (it was hanging inside out over my chair) and all signatures were more or less washed out (damn those 90 degrees hot washes). I was Galactica fan as well then, but this was an A-Team thing, but I guess I must have talked to Dirk about Galactica as well. So Dirk was actually the first Galactica cast member I met not Jamie Bamber!

Bruce Hopkins at the Elf Fantasy Fair. I was collecting original movieposter, lobbycards and pres kits at the time and there he was. I went to his talk and he was so funny and the autograph was only 10 euros and he had great photos so I decided to get one and from one thing came another thing.... ;D

Hey don't mess with B&A, they made it as far as Russia, you know. Just remembered another great one: I grew up in Spijkenisse (near Rotterdam) and lived across Anita Meijer. When her album together with Lee Towers was brought out she gave me a free copy which was signed by her and dedicated to me. I asked her if Lee Towers would sign as well and since she was a special guest at his Ahoy concerts for a full week she took it to "work" and he signed it as well. For the Americans among us: Lee Towers and Anita Meijer are like the Dutch Sonny and Cher, Ike and Tina... Lee Towers is our own Dutch Tom Jones/Engelbert Humperdink. Yeah, that's sad, but come on... I was like 10-12 years old...
