*crossing fingers that Avery Brokks will have a signing session this time* Finally, Gates McFadden, After this I'm only missing Diana Muldaur (not that interesting, and no, am not going to England when she's there), Will Wheaton and LeVar Burton of the main TNG cast. Burton I have, but bought, probably real though.
Good line-up, shame they moved all the way to Fulda. What was wrong with Bonn? That was just an hour's drive from my parents' house!

Ahhh FedCon. Such sweet memories. To date FedCon is the best convention I've been to. Great organisation, amazing guests and an even better atmosphere. This isn't an event for hundreds of people, this is 1000's.
A shame I can't go this year. But I'm sure I'll here all about it afterwards.
@ Liessa, I'm meeting LeVar Burton at Vulkon, Cleveland. If you want I could bring along a sig for you.

This isn't an event for hundreds of people, this is 1000's. Yes, but it's all Star Trek at Fedcon, so ONLY if your a Star Trek-fan this con is interesting. They don't have a diverse line-up, all the guests are from Star Trek... And I'm not a Star Trak-fan.

Well there are a few others like Buffy, Kampfstern Galaktika and Stargate, but it is 90% Trek indeed. Basically if you ain't a Trekkie don't go. Saves you a couple of bucks too.

@ Liessa, I'm meeting LeVar Burton at Vulkon, Cleveland. If you want I could bring along a sig for you. That's sweet of you but no need, I'll meet him someday ;D I'll just start stalking him... Well, Fedcon is basically Trek, but it's not called FEDcon for nothing. I do know that the SG-1 fans that are going are increasing, so they try to get at least one SG guest as well. But it will always mainly be a Trek con.

Sorry, I meant who is appearing from Battlestar Galactica? I don't think anybody of Battlestar Galactica will be there, nobody is mentioned on the website as for now...

This year there are no BG guests SO FAR. But there are usually 1 or 2. Herb Jefferson Jr, Richard Hatch have been there. And several more, which I can't remember.

The price of their admission is to steep anyway. I mean you HAVE to pay for a weekend ticket even if you're only interested in the sigs of one or two persons.
I like Star Trek as well but i've already met 3/4 of the guests there and for that price I can easily save up the money and do a USA show.
Admission = 140 euro's including 4 autographs, but what if you want the other peeps autographs in stead of the four in the package? You're screwed so you have to pay for the other autographs as well.
Then there is the travel. Fedcon has moved all the way to the back of Germany so you have to pay for that as well. Let's say 50 euro's.
Then there is the hotel. It's very difficult there to find cheap hotels that time of the year (the entire city will be swamped with trekkies). I paid up to 150 euro's for two nights.
So in total you'll be out of 340 euro's = accomodation, travel and admission including 4 autographs. more if you want other autographs. It's about 400 dollars, for thiose 400 dollars you can get a hell of a lot more out ofthe HUGE american conventions like creation.
I went to Fedcon once and NEVER again. It'was a crappy con anyway.
