Good luck with Ron Howard. Whatever happenend to him eh? Nice additions but it's always a shame when you almost know for sure you can't get it complete. I have some of those incomplete cast pics as well.

Neat! Martine is right: Howard will be EXTREMELY difficult.....that sux about most cast photos (Battlestar is impossible: Lorne Greene; Starwars: Harrison Ford)

Well, at least in this case, it's possible. Sure it's only a 1% chance, but as long as the actor's alive, there's hope.
Funny you mention Ron Howard. His dad Rance was in one episode of Battlestar Galactica. I interviewed him by email. What a cool guy. His work schedule is huge lately.
My BSG poster will never have Greene, but you do what you can.
I guess that why it's important to get as many as soon as possible. Lost for example. You never know what's going to happen to them.

Lost for example. You never know what's going to happen to them. True! And since the show is just "new" with only 1,5 season being aired right now (USA) you have a big chance of getting all of the maincast-sigs on a poster. But as for BSG it is impossible to get because a few are dead right now... because the show aired such a long time ago. So you can only do your best. And be happy with the sigs you did get on your poster. Your poster rocks btw!

Well thanks Bill! It's always great when someone's work is appreciated.
The thing about posters vs. 8x10's is this. You can have a binder full of 8x10's. You can get them even if the actor has died, you don't have to worry about sending out a 8x10 (not talking about cast photos) and losing it in the mail. But you have a binder.
With a poster, you can put it in a frame and look at it everyday. My BSG poster is in the bedroom. It's the last thing I see at night and the first thing I see in the morning (my wife thinks it's her).
Bill, as for my poster, it's gotten to the no-mail stage. What's that mean? I have 13 auto's, and I couldn't tell you how much money I've spent on it. It's been to 3 countries. I CANNOT take the chance of mailing it out again for fear of losing it. Patrick Macnee was the last person that was worth the risk.
So what now? If I can get near Sarah Rush or Jane Seymour, I'll take the poster myself. Sarah did a documentary film, and if they ever show it near her home state, I'll drive to get her to sign it. Jane is into art these day, and does about a dozen art shows a year. If she ever gets near me, I'll pack up and head out.
IM: No problem. When somebody scores an auto for you, you should always mention it on your site or on the forum some props for who got it for you. As vade did so well on this post.
Mike

Posters are "easier" in the sense that the image never features the entire cast and crew so if you miss certain people (sure it's a shame) it isn't quickly noticable. Instead of a cast photograph with the peeps on it. You can see it right away and if a character isn't featured on the cast photo you normally don't put the ones who aren't featured on it. I'm thinking about starting a poster for BSG. The NEW series of course

It's the last thing I see at night and the first thing I see in the morning (my wife thinks it's her). Well you can frame 8x10s just as easy as a poster. Jane sells her autograph via her website, so it shouldn't be that big a risk sending her something, it will be a regular business transaction after all.

martine, that's a great point. If they don't have pictures on there, there isn't anybody "missing" that you can point out.
Robert, that's true. You can hang 8x10's. I'd rather hang one poster than 13 8x10's, but that's just me.
Yeah, I know Jane sells through her website. I have another poster that I had signed that way. But like I said, this poster is now too valuable to risk sending through the mail anymore.
It took me 4 months and MAD over 8 months to get our stuff returned from her people. They didn't respond to a single email. So I'm hesitant to send her expensive stuff regardless. Nothing against Jane, but whoever is proving the service aren't the most professional people in the world. Of course all proceeds go to charity, so you can't gripe too much.

Good luck with Ron Howard. Whatever happenend to him eh? he's Directing the upcoming davinci code movie , Yes I know......... And he also directed Cocoon, Apollo 13, Backdraft, The Grinch and won oscars for Beautiful Mind. Was being sarcastic and quoting Leo Rossi when he signed the cover of a dvd of Grand Theft Auto (which was fotr a friend of mine by the way) which Ron Howard also starred in.
