Pirates of the Caribbean II Dead Man's Chest yesterday at the Arena  Will not post spoilers about story, characters etc... Was not dissapointed with the movie. Great SFX, actors and humour. Especially Tom Hollander, Depp and Davenport stood out in the movie. It's a bit darker though than the first one which I didn't expect from a Disney movie but great fun nonetheless. They make a lot of nods and tie ins with the first movie so it would be good to see that one first to notice them all. They could have skipped the Canibal island sequence though. Great fun! but had nothing to do with the big storyline. Stay put untill AFTER the end credits. There's still something behind it as was in the first movie. |

You're welcome. Keep in mind though that it's part one of a two parter! Like Kill Bill and more of an introduction to the second so don't expect many things to be resolved at the end of the movie. Just a fair warning. |

Biggest returns ever for a weekend for POTC2. They were disappointed with the Superman returns, but POTC2 surpassed their expectations (attendancewise).

I went to a special midnight premiere for Pirates of the Carribean 2. It takes some time for the movie to get going and when the credits appear after a good 2,5 hours, it felt like watching the first half of a movie so there was no real ending. Despite that, for what it was, it was a fun movie and I can't wait to see the conclusion of it.
