Did you know that Andrew Sachs is the only actor in Fawlty Towers to dub himself in the German version? He's fluent in German, and he offered to dub all his lines.
Weird other info: a McDonalds commercial starring John Cleese was dubbed even though Mr. Cleese had recorded the ad in German. Because of all the dubbing, the German public didn't recognise the voice with the face, and McDonalds decided to have the ad re-dubbed by the voice-actor who dubs Cleese in all his movies...
