Jesus, how much money does someone want? I'm not going to buy it. For all the people that hate the multiple SW versions: Why do I never hear the same regarding Peter Jackson with all his LotR versions? Extended, 2-discs, Tin boxes from Korea, Giftsets, etc... ...o, don't forget Sam Raimi with his record breaking Evil Dead! (the movie that has the most versions!!!!) My 2 cents BTW: No-one is forcing ya to buy it

Actually, I never bought any of the previous versions because I was waiting for the original.
So I may pick this one up.
For those that don't know, Star Wars was the very first movie I ever saw in a theatre. I was 6 at the time. This and star trek reruns is actually what got me started on scifi. Then came Galactica and my world changed forever...

My 2 cents BTW: No-one is forcing ya to buy it Because that was announced way before the dvd's even came out. And the Korean versions have nothing to do with it. For most dvd's you have other versions in other countries. LOTR only has 2 real different ones in the shops like the 2-disc and the 4 disc extended and yes the gift set but those are released at the same time so people can choose right away. While Star Wars has been released, re-released, re-re-re-released *you get the point* with only very small differences. Besides I seem to remember Lucas saying something about the original unchanged version not being put on dvd. They just released the original trilogy, recently again in a simpler outing than the silver and gold boxes and now they're releasing it again, but then the uncut? Whatever.... Í have a version, glad with it and wil stick to that one untill dvd's get replaced again and I have to re-arrange my entire collection again. Ah yes the fun of collecting *Rant over*

I agree with Martine on this one. I remember Lucas swearing that he wouldn't release the original because he liked the way it was it was redone.
So this is absolutely just an attempt to get more $$$.
But again, I haven't bought a set, so this may be the one.

Well... this will be the first movie-trilogy I will own twice! The altered ones, and the original. And I am not gonna complain about it... although I do agree with Martine/Mike. Sorry.
