Im not sure if i should say this, but for me this goes into the Screen Heroes direction.
More and more actors will not get more visitors. The amount of people you can get is limited, even if you have 50 actors coming to the show.
And theres not enough space for 16 actors. For 16 actors they will need all the space on the right, that means they will have only one room with dealers.
And if they have sold only 50 tickets...

I think the problem is, that with the Allo Allo people attendence would be poor, as you see when the Star Wars guest were announced, which for me personally would be a bigger reason to attend. There's still two big problems: 1. Advertising the event. I know the only reason I even know about this, is by visiting forums like this, which would always limit the amount of people you reach. 2. No really big name. This is always relative of course, but there's really none of them that is a much see in this circuit, in my opinion, which does mean at the day of the con, if for instance the weather's bad or something like that, you'd just as easily not go.

That's just the good thing about this. I'd rather see a new guest then the same guests over and over and over again.

Thomas, don't worry about saying it. It's a excellent point. The average person only has x amount of dollars to spend on a con. Having 25 actors does not mean you will get 25 times as many people, nor that you will have the same attendees spending 25 times as much money.
I KNEW that something didn't smell right about Screenheroes. You can't have that big a lineup and expect the attendance to pay for it anywhere other than California.
That's why a booked a ticket from the US. I thought then, and I still believe, that you will never see a TOS BSG cast lineup like that again. Collectormania had that, and I still can't figure out how they did it. My guess is that the toy people sponsered it. I figure they didn't make what they wanted. Why do I think this? Well if they brought them in like gangbusters, you'd think they would have had at least ONE of them back this year.
And I agree with Starbuck. Richard Hatch came to Columbus every year for Marcon. How many years do you think I'm going to drive out to see him? Even if a lesser actor replaced him, I think that attendance would actually increase because it's a fresh face.

got a mail today Dear visitors of the Dutch Star Con, We have decided to change the prices of the photoshoot with the actors. This price, on the New Star Con 1/3 which I also organised, was 15 Euro for a picture. Now we charge 10 Euro for a photo with 1 actor. For a picture with 2 actors the price will again be 15 Euro. For a picture with 3 or more actors the price will be 20 Euro. This A4 print will be printed during the show and can be signed by the actors, if you want. About the prices of the autographs: The Allo Allo actors will charge 10 Euro for a picture including autograph. For an autograph on your own item or picture they will only charge 5 Euro. We will print a group picture, so with all 6 autographs this will cost you 35 Euro. well thats only fair against those high entry prices !

They have been in the past, and I think Pieter will continue in the same way (as he was the photographer at NSC1-3 as well).

For those who can't make any sense out of Duke's post ( ) I will clear things up. Today we got an email from DSC saying that Kim Hartman, Kirsten Cooke and Vicky Michelle will not be present at the Dutch Starcon because they all have to play in a show at the date when DSC will be held. There will be one replacement for them: John D. Collins, he played RAF Flight Lt. Fairfax in series 1-7. And now Duke's message: Kim Hartman and Richard Gibson will both be present at the Collector's fair in Utrecht on April 8-9.

Oh men, that sucks big time. I was basically only going for the Allo Allo guests. Okay, we still have a good reunion with 5 guests.
Hope they can come to another convention (when I'm actually IN Holland).

just my 2 cents: is the NSC-bashing per mail neccessary? I thought we had the same hobby...
