Can anyone help me get a HQ Gene Wilder pic? thanks a lot! Couldn't find any, but Movie Market has some: www.moviemarket.com/Photos/Gene_Wilder_P202901_1/But if you are planning to try and get him TTM, save yourself the trouble. Supposedly he always sends out PP's Thanks, i bought one at moviemarket. they have a buy-1-get-1-free offer now, the strange thing was the Gene Wilder pic was discounted for 1.99pounds and i added another picture which cost 3.99pound and i only had to pay for the Gene Wilder pic because i ordered that one first! concerning the TTM: i saw several successes these days from a certain address so i think i will give it a try,"Not shot is always mis"right

I read a few times that people also make pictures using certain software on their PC, can anyone tell me which software to use and if those pics are HQ?

Yup, definately the best to do it. But a less professional program for editing images wouldn't make much of a difference anyway since you'll most likely only be using tools to resize and to adjust brightness and contrast.

PowerDVD only takes a snapshot. They swear up and down that you can take a screenshot with extremely high quality. But it's getting it to the other software that is the problem.
To import it in at the extremely high quality to be able to make 8x10's, to my knowledge, Photoshop is the ONLY software that will allow you to get 300dpi pics.
So using a less professional program may resize and adjust brightness & contrast just as well, but you aren't going to be able to get 8x10's with it.
If you've got 300 dpi with any other program, I'd love to hear what it is. I've been banging my head against the wall using other software. But the best I can do is 3x4 inches.

Well, I can't imagine there's no other program that can't perform the task, but it's bound to be another professional program. So no, I have to admit there is no alternative as far as I know. What I actually meant (and not really explained, my bad is that you don't necessarily need a professional program to make good quality photos. It is possible to get real nice prints from an image that is for example only 150k large and print it on a simple home printer (using photo paper, of course) with the WIN XP image printing option. In other words, if you're not that good with all the software, there are other ways, many other ways besides my example to get anywhere from decent to great looking pics. You just need to be a bit creative.

Mike This makes absolutely no sense. The problem with getting good 8x10s from DVDs is that they're only 400~500lines vertically and even then interlaced. At 300dpi for an 8x10 you need 3000 lines. Using photoshop won't change that. Just about any graphics program will be able to handle 300dpi images, you don't need photoshop for that, except it may be a little faster in handling very large files, while it defintely is slower handling small files.
