As most of you know, I don't collect anything outside Battlestar Galactica... Well that's true, except for this. I've searched for this Space: Above and Beyond cast signed photo for a long time and finally found it. Just before the series ended they decided to do a promotion tour with the entire cast and creators. They signed 100s of this extremely cool photo (love the photo and the way it was vertically signed by each). The studio even send them out (real ones!) to fans asking for it, at the time the show run!!! Nowadays you hardly see any of them anymore (no collector or fan of the show will ever sell them!), only the preprinted ones (the studio made preprints after the real ones were finished). I'm really glad to finally own a genuine signed one myself! The photo is signed by (left to right): Morgan Weisser (Lt. Nathan West) Lanei Chapman (Lt. Vanessa Damphousse) James Morrison (Col. T.C. McQueen) Joe de la Fuente (Lt. Paul Wang) Rodney Rowland (Lt. Cooper Hawkes) Kristen Cloke (Capt. Shane Vansen) plus on the bottom the creators (also known from X-Files!): Glen Morgan James Wong on the bottom-side: Tucker Smallwood (Commander Ross), who's not on the actual photo

Awesome! I actually have a lot of these official studio photos with the group and single shots that I'm hoping to get signed.

Very nice!!! Mad and WJ let me tell you, collecting autographs is just soooo addictive! I found out again this weekend. Not comletely true. It isn't more addictive than any other collection where you want to have more to expand your collection. I found out collecting DVDs that you have to specify what's REALLY important to you very quickly. This will save you tons of money now and a worthless collection later (remember these words!). The sooner you specify your area of REAL interest the better. You'll start focussing on that and have much more fun when another one is add. Some people collect just to collect. All adds are great, but actually that also means non are special anymore. I only collect Battlestar Galactica, always have, always will. I couldn't care less about any other celebrity. I'm more happy with a small actress from Galactica than a signature of Steven Spielberg. Probably Steven is even easier to get than this small actress and that's also part of the fun (eventhough the whole world couldn't care less about her or even know her). This SAAB photo is already a huge sidestep for me. I'm glad to own this though, because it's all I needed (they're all on there).

Wow, I'd like to have one of those myself. Cool success. I bought this on eBay. The preprinted one is offered quite often the real one rarily. I'd suggest to at least get a good scan of the preprinted one to compare to the real one. Nobody cares about these autographs and they're not A actors, so it's save to say they're almost never faked. But hey, it's eBay so do check... It's impossible to collect all of these yourself by letting it sign by all the actors and crew in person or through the mail. You'll only accomplish that if they do a reunion (don't count on it, it's been 10 years this year and they aren't doing it!). During the time this one was offered there was another one offered for $115. If you're interested, let me know, I'll send you the link of the old auction. It wasn't sold, maybe you can negotiate with the buyer about the price.

Yes, that's the same guy, who offered it for $115 and it didn't sell after 10 days. So I guess there's some room to negotiate. I do think it's real by the way. These signatures are even a bit better than on mine and I would have considered buying this, but I only paid $48 ($9,99 starting bid) on my auction. So many of these were signed for FREE at the end of the series during their tour. Hardly worth faking it, because there must be 100s (but try to find one now!). But I'd ask for some background info on it, before you buy, just to sure!

This is what the seller had to say: Signed at an event? Could be, they did a tour (the whole group) and several conventions during that. They're happy to provide signing information AFTER the purchase?!?!?! How about BEFORE so you can check on it! It got a picture of Tucker Smallwood signing my photo on the exact same spot as where the signature is (and that spot is different on any photo I saw!). In the background was the rest of the cast/crew. That convinced me it was real. But as I said before: never saw a fake one of these. They're too widespread and a preprinted one is widely available as well... But they should provide info you can check upon. Just my two cents...

Oh, and you have found such a nice "specialism" in your autograph collection! ;D ;D ;D Always forget to ask when I see you: How do these women react to signing those photos? Did never any of them refused or hesitated in signing them?

Always forget to ask when I see you: How do these women react to signing those photos? Did never any of them refused or hesitated in signing them? No one refused yet. Everyone was happy to sign an issue for me, only Isa Hoes hesitated, but she did sign it in the end. Some celebrities or models who signed through the mail were very cooperative. They even enclosed a personal letter or send back something special along with the signed issue! The next signed issue should be from Bridget Maasland.

Like I already told Michel, if they are going to bare it all for a magazine for big bucks, why be ashamed of it? You sold out to bare all, so be proud of your body and sign it.
