I don't think Mr. Weston is as familiar with the character he played as one would think. Nikto is infact the specie. From what I know, Weston played the part as a Nikto called Vedain (a sand skiff pilot).

From what I know, Weston played the part as a Nikto called Vedain (a sand skiff pilot). I think he is familiar with his character as he was problably listed as "Nikto" on the call sheet. What he's not familiar with is the rabid naming of every single little minor character possible by the CCG people.

I don't expect Mr. Weston to know the story about his character. Not all SW people can be like Jeremy Bulloch who follows his character long after he apeared in any movie portraying Boba Fett The naming of Star wars characters may have got out of hand a bit. But in most cases I think it is ok. I find it better to refer to Leslie Schofield's character as Chief Bast instead of Commander #1 (but then again I guess it wasn't CCG who named him that, but the name apeared in The holiday special) ;D

Nice guy, he told me that with this scene he broke his leg . I knew that already and I mentioned it in our interview. When I referred to the fact that he still has the plaster....signed by Carrie Fisher and others he reacted: 'how do you know all this'? and laughed. I should have said: 'well....I'm Bond....James Bond' ;D PS: will post my sigs later
