Well several members here have already stated they don't want to do that. Something with the work invested in them and such.

I dont understand why people wouldnt want to share - its not as though it costs anything, and to me it plays a big part in this hobby. I've written to too many successful addresses to post them all but if anyboday wants any info on any success I've had please PM me and I will do my best to help

It's also the case that some people are members of paysites which means they pay for addresses.

I've written to too many successful addresses to post them all but if anyboday wants any info on any success I've had please PM me and I will do my best to help As posted by one of our moderators: Marko, let me answer this before this thread spirals out of control and gets ugly. Yes, in a perfect world, we'd all share addresses and life would be peachy keen. However, people spend a lot of time, effort, and money in tracking them down, so it's a commodity. You don't generally just give it away. If you gave me enough time and enough tries, I'd probably have a 90% chance of finding any actor living in the US. But it would take hours of research and some other expenses. That's not something I'd just give away for free for my effort. Also consider being respectful to the actor. They took the time to write, and mail back. So do you show your love by posting their address on a public forum so a ton of other people also harras them with requests? If a person answers yes to this question, go subscribe to Star Archive. It's done there every day. But to answer your questions, yeah, people on here sometimes do share addresses, depending on the situation. But you gots to give something back in return. It isn't meant to be some kind of snobby exclusive thing. If I were to ask Bill for his Lost actor's address, I'd have an address for him in return when I asked him. Mike

Also the freely sharing of addresses is what causes free databases as Wattographs to struggle. By giving out an address, you remove away the user participation which helps make the database work.
