Just got back from a sneak preview of The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift. I was hoping for Suups, but I was pleasantly surprised nonetheless. Quite an entertaining movie and better than it's predecessors imho. I saw it today. The first one is still the best, but it wasn't disappointing. Some nice races, and a cool cameo at the end.

I saw it in Imax glory. They advertised it as a 3D movie, but only some 20 scattered minutes are in 3D. Still quite amazing on such a big screen. As for the movie, it is completely in the style of the first one with Chris Reeve, but with a lot better f/x.

Actually there is, a lack of imagination.... But Singer wanted Jude Law as Zod in the movie as well but he didn't want to so Singer scrapped Zod out of the story instead of recasting him so that explains the lacking in the villainplot a bit and I'm not the only one judging by other peoples reviews as well but to each their own. It just didn't do it for me.
Would also have loved to see a bit more Clarke/ Lios dialogue. And Kate Bosworth isn't really a Lios Lane type/ character but Routh is excellent in both roles and that made the movie for me. He was really convincing and the flying is awesome.

In cinema I saw Pirates II this weekend. Great film, great effects, enjoyed the cartoonistic (oops is this right?) play by Depp and of course one of my favourite British actors Bill Nighy as Davey Jones. At the end I encountered the same feeling as I had with the first 2 LOTR films, come on! Hurry up with the sequel! On DVD ''the Descent" for the horrorfreaks a must-see!!! One of the leading rolls is played by a Dutch girl by the way. Great film, enjoyed it. Anyone seen 'Hostel' yet? Am curious about that one.

I've seen Hostel. I don't think it is as gross as they promised it would be. Good movie, though obviously on a budget.

A lot of sex to cover up the weak story-line.

Hostel was pretty much a poor B-movie (at best) with alot of poor acting, all the way to the end. What "saves" the movies somewhat, is some of the gore scenes at the end of the movie.
I'm a horror buff, but I would rank Hostel pretty low on a 1-10 scale.
