Yeah i could go on , but dicaprio is on my list too number 7 right after steven Seagal And he's on my list as will, Seagal sucks so much ass... But Johnny Depp??? He's a terrific actor! Pretty much all his parts are briliant! And Brad Pitt as well, very good actor. Seriousley, he used to be some teen-idol, but he plays parts that aren't teen-idol kind of parts like in Snatch or Fight Club. He's very good imo.

Johnny Depp is one of the most brilliant actors of our time. He's done some great acting in movies such as Pirates of teh Caribbean, Edward Scissorhands, Cry Baby, Chocolat, Sleepy Hollow, Benny & Joon, What's Eating Gilbert Grape and so on. And about Brad Pitt. You told me at the premiere of Over The Hedge, that you hardly saw any of the movies I mentioned. So you don't really have any right to diss him off that easily. I gave you a list of movies, 12 Monkeys, Se7en, Kalifornia, Thelma & Louise, Snatch, Sleepers, Fight Club, Interview With The Vampire - and I believe you only saw ONE movie from that list. So sorry mate, that's not fair. Now if you can give me some GOOD arguments, I'm willing to agree with you. But not if you haven't seen his movies. I DO agree with Dennis's number one Tom Cruise And most of Nick's List. Except for Leonardo DiCaprio. I agree, after Titanic a lot of his movies were crap (Although The Beac and Catch Me If You Can were ok). But before that he made some great movies, and had some great acting. What's Eating Gilbert Grape, Basketball Diaries, This Boy's Life, Romeo & Juliet, Don's Plum. I know, everyone has his own taste. But please Dirk, don't judge someone on 1 or 2 movies.

No iam not judging on 1 or 2 movies, but really iam not a Depp fan he I dont think he is brilliant and because people are saying that i think he is overated thats just my opinion and Brad Pitt , he is overated in my opinion because of the whole Angelina Jolie thing , Come one be Honest , all the crap with them and their baby , its one media circus that's why I mostly think he is overated... and i saw like 3 movies of brad pitt and Troy was a really hyped summer movie
and it wasnt all that great in my opinion..

So, you judge his acting on his personal life? Now that hardly seems fair to me. And you say you saw 3 movies in which he stars, out of the busload he has done. Nope, sorry - still think it's unfair. You have to do better than that to convince me.

and Brad Pitt , he is overated in my opinion because of the whole Angelina Jolie thing We're talking about him as an actor not the media-buzz about their baby.... And that's not entirely their fault either. They're not blowing the whole thing up in the press like Tom Cruise did with his romance with Kate whatsherface...

I also disagree with the Depp choice, imo he's a good and decent actor, not superb, but just good. Sleepy Hollow, What's Eating Gilbert Grape, great flicks to watch, not mentioning PoTC.
Spacey, also very good imo, loved him in The Usual Suspects, The Life of David Gale, Negotiator just to name a few (Usual Suspects, still one of my fav. movies of all time)
Pitt, soso actor, some good movies, some shitty.
Cruise, well it's not that he is annoying in the movies, but he's overhyped with the whole Katie business. Still a decent actor though, again ..... imo.
I don't have a real list of actors who are "overhyped" or whatever, but there are some people who went downhill over the years. For example:
- Steven Seagal (was great in Nico, and good in Under Siege 1, then sucked balls) - Eddie Murphy (was awsome in his early years, loved his standup, but now only makes familly films with no risk if you know what I mean, on the other hand, he rocked as Donkey in Shrek)
But what about George Lucas ? (sorry TWD, have to say it) besides Star Wars and partially Indie, what else did he make what people still talk about ? Okay THX was a nice one as well, but for the rest his resume is pretty thin. Don't get me wrong, I love Star Wars, even the prequels and I didn't throw up when JarJar was onscreen, but to be true imo he is a little overhyped as well.

1. Johnny Depp 2.Peter Jackson 3. wachowski's 4. Dakota Fanning 5.Brad Pitt Quick reaction: Depp: Good actor.....but Sparrow is greatly overrated Ed Wood is brilliant....his best role ever1 PJ: LotR was wonderful, Magnum Opus! Besides LotR his work is overrated, I agree Wachowskis: Loved all 3 Matrix movies...V for Vendetta was great too. Haven't seen Bound. Dakota: WOTW sucked....She was good in Hide & Seek Brad Pitt: Seen almost everything of him. Not a bad actor....although Mr & Mrs Smith was a fluke. In a way; he is kinda overrated. People like Steve Buscemi should get the attention he is getting. Actually, I forgot the 2nd most irritating, overrated actor next to Tom Cruise: Dunno why I forgot him....must be coz I wanna block him out.... EVERY time the same 'ol gags & faces..... The day he'll stop acting will be a bank holiday ;D

1. Charlton Heston Though having played and starred in a couple of classics, he annoys the hell out of me with each and every of his performances. 2. Freddie Prinze Jr. Him giving a strong performance means showing a sad face. The guy has a couple of faces for certain emotions. That's about as far as his range as an actor goes. 3. Matthew Lillard Either he's playing a freak... or he's playing a freak. Annoying freaks 99 out of 100 times. Often seen in movies with #2. 4. Pauly Shore Seemed like good fresh talent and never got passed that. Terrible actor. 5. Lorenzo Lamas If he was as good as he thinks he is... well, that about sums it up, doesn't it?

Don't get me wrong, I love Star Wars, even the prequels and I didn't throw up when JarJar was onscreen, but to be true imo he is a little overhyped as well. You forget: American Graffiti, Labyrinth, Willow, Young Indiana Jones, Captain EO, the fact that he started the beginnings of Pixar, founded ILM (groundbreaking stuff! without ILM there wouldnt be FX movies as there are now!), Skywalker sound....he 're-invented' movies back in the 70s with his pal Steven Spielberg....went against the studio-system.....o, what about the THX certificate? Besides the movies he made & produced he has done more than anyone else (well, except Walt Disney) regarding the way movies are made nowadays. Highly influential. In fact, I think he is UNDERrated. Don't get me wrong, but what have people like Tarantino, Scott, Cameron etc etc all done BEYOND their movies? (I love their style & flicks a lot by the way, so no offense) Without ILM Cameron could have never ever made Terminator....it wasn't him that invented the effects, it was by a company that would have never existed without Lucas.... Walt Disney was a pioneer too; the stuff he has done goes beyond everything.
