She's a really sweet kid and can act better than most adults in Hollywood. I like her acting and I hope she makes it as an grown up in the moviebusiness and doesn't disappear to the obscurity due to alcohol and drugs like so many child actors before her. My In Person sig:

I don't mean this to offend anyone; but I would feel 'funny/weird' if I'd ask for an autograph of a kid who is 12 years old. What are your opinions on this? (Btw: I have Jake Lloyds sig, who was +-15 at that time, so I have done the same )

Well I didn't write to her. I didn't even had a pic with me from her. I was at the WOTW premiere and I didn't exactly ask. I just held it in front of her like so many others, but yeah, when she was standing in front of me signing I did feel a bit weird. She was only 11 LOL
Did not feel weird with Jake Lloyd but that was completely different. I was the one taking his photographs off him and the visitors and we really had a fun time. He's a great kid and really sweet (unlike some of the harry snotter kids -_- ). We almost went snowboarding mehehe but I chickened out....... I am not athletic! so I just asked him to sign my crew t-shirt but not because he was in Star Wars but because all of my friends over there signed it with messages. It's a sort of ritual there.
Anyways, other than that I have no kid autographs and yes it does make me feel weird to get the sigs In Person that is. Because let's face it you're an adult and they're well kids.
I don't think I would feel embarresment for asking if I would have done it TTM though..

Btw, everybody has been a kid once. I wouldn't mind having the autographs of people like Hitchcock, Disney and so on even if the autograph was written by them as a child

Well I just mailed off an auto request to Malcom David Kelly who played Walt in Lost. He's 14 years old. Am I afraid of being on record? Well I would NEVER write to his home address, but I did mail to the studio address. So no, I'm not worried about being on a list. I told him that I appreciated his acting, and that he showed skills far in advance of his age.
Child labor? That's quite a strech. Using that analogy, you've got kids signing auto requests 16 hours a day. The kids who are in the business are certainly impressionable, so what would be more beneficial to them than fan mail telling them that you appreciate their talent? Fortunatly, thanks to the child actor labor laws named for Jackie Cooper, they have limited the hours spent on set, and include home school study. While it has a long way to go, it's a step in the right direction from making Nike shoes.

Well in my opinion kids some kids are just too young for this kind of stuff. On the one hand they might like the attention, but on the other one it may be way to many for them.
