I enjoyed the episode as well. I didn't know that the monster was the black fog. With all that crunching around, something that picked the pilot up out of the front of the plane up in the air, I just imagined some kind of giant monster.
I was thinking that Cassidy was only helping Kate because she was conning her in order to get a reward. I'm glad I was wrong.
I also wonder if Juliet has been planted all along. She did have a handcuff key in her pocket. I know she said she didn't use it because she wanted Kate to think they were in it together, but still. The others are usually one step ahead of everybody else...
My question is, since the others have disappeared, why don't they just move from the other side of the island to the compound. They'd have fixed shelters, electricity, an electromagnetic fence, etc. Seems like I'd rather be there...
Why didn't Sayid and Jack ask where Locke was? Kate knew because he told her, but they didn't. What about the French lady? Did she follow the others to keep an eye on her daughter?
Can't wait to see Jack back with the rest of the cast. And where did the "others" go.

I was wondering all those things myself. I do think that Juliette is somekind of a spy for the others now. This being-cuffed-with-Kate-thing is being planned straight from the beginning.

The latest ep is great, although we don't get any real answers to burning questions, it does give out plenty of info.

Evidently we're smarter than most everybody else in camp... We also have the advantage of knowing its a television show and to expect conflict and plot twists So what did you all think of last night's episode? I think this new girl is going to open up a huge can of worms...

What did I think of the latest episode? Well, I've been getting bored with the backstories as of late. The other part of the episode was a little boring. Except for seeing Kate in her underwear... I think the new girl was Desmond's fist girlfriend. But other people say it wasn't. What does everybody else think? One problem is that the book that fell from the sky has a picture of Desmond and Penny. So how did whoever she is have a copy of it? Other people I've talked to say just let Charlie die. How many times can you try to save him? They advertising "Only 4 more episodes left". I hope they give us a better cliffhanger. And I hope there is only one season left. I don't want them to drag things out.

I thought it was a great episode, first 5 minutes with Charlie's "death" got me really thinking if he was going next. I have no clue who the girl is though.

Apparently Carlton Cuse has said that 5 more people will die before the season is done. My guess is that Charlie will die in the episode called "Greatest Hits".

Well, no deaths last night. Actually, when "patch" comes back without a scratch on him, it actually adds to the number.
So how did he come back to life?
I've been getting bored with the backstories, but I did enjoy the one with Jin and Sun. Paying $100,000 to save his honor. Yet it's what ultimately causes Jin to end up being a hit man/arm breaker.
Juliet seems to be having doubts about working with Ben. Will she switch sides?
Sun seems happier that it's Jin's baby even knowing that it could be a death sentence.
Looking forward to next week. Previews show that Locke wants Sawyer to kill Ben.

I don't know if it's Ben that Locke wants Sawyer to kill. In the preview it showed a guy with a bag on his head, and I can't remember if Locke said that he wanted Ben dead or not. I'm thinking it might be Anthony Cooper, because Sawyer would want him dead also.
